hi! i’m Francine, a half-Ecuadorian, half-Swiss, Florida-raised multidisciplinary designer, athlete, and culinary artist with a background in interior design.

i grew up in a household with a very diverse background; my parents were Swiss-Ecuadorian and opposites in terms of cultural backgrounds. growing up in the United States, i was fortunate enough to regularly travel visiting family in Europe and South America. eventually, this continuous exposure to diverse surroundings sparked my interest in cultures, places, backgrounds, and languages. i grew a fascination for human behavior and understanding people at a young age. this realization prompted me to live in Barcelona for half a year at 17 years old where i became captivated by architecture and design through the works of Gaudi. later on, i discovered my passion for cooking and languages, and i decided to follow it by studying the culinary arts in Milan, while learning Italian. during this time, i came upon ties between culinary and design when i realized that good design and good food bring people together.

i seek attention to details with everything that i do, a necessity for both design and culinary arts. after graduating from SCAD in 2023, i found a deep appreciation for the creative process as well as good design and the incredible benefits it can deliver. my experiences throughout my life shaped my awareness for design and have shown me that good design is universal.
